FAQs
Can I bring a plus one?
Your invitation is personalised just for you, so if a plus one is included, they’ll already be named on your invitation.
What time should I arrive?
For Day Guests: Please arrive in plenty of time for the start of the blessing at 2.30pm. We’d recommend allowing a few extra minutes for parking and the short walk through the beautiful Gate Street grounds.
For Evening Guests: Please arrive from 7.15pm. Speeches may still be running but you’re more than welcome to grab a drink at the bar and listen.
👉 Full timings can be found on The Day page.
Where is the wedding?
We’ll be celebrating at Gate Street Barn, Bramley, Surrey.
You’ll find the address, map, parking information and directions on our Venue, Stay & Travel page.
Is there parking?
Yes. Free parking is available at Gate Street and you’re welcome to leave your car overnight if you’d prefer to collect it the following day. Please park in the Overnight Car Park.
Is the venue accessible?
If you or one of your guests has any accessibility requirements, please let us know when you RSVP so we can help make your day as comfortable as possible.
Can I stay overnight?
The on-site accommodation at Gate Street has already been allocated to our immediate family and wedding party.
If you’d like to stay nearby, we’ve recommended some lovely local hotels (plus a few budget-friendly options) on our Venue, Stay & Travel page.
How do I get home?
If you’re planning to enjoy a drink or two (we hope you do!), we’d recommend booking a taxi in advance.
We’ll have a list of trusted local taxi companies on the Venue, Stay & Travel page.
Should I book a taxi in advance?
We’d recommend it.
Many of our guests will be travelling back to Ripley, Guildford and nearby hotels, and local taxi companies are much more reliable than relying on Uber late in the evening.
You’ll find our recommended taxi companies on the Stay & Travel page.
What should I wear?
Black Tie… with a Disco Twist.
Think velvet, sequins, satin, sparkle, sharp suits and anything that makes you feel fabulous.
Most importantly, wear something you can dance in.
Can I bring my children?
Absolutely.
Children are very welcome for our day guests, and we’ll have professional childcare available during the celebrations.
The only exception is babies, as our childcare isn’t equipped to care for infants. When you RSVP, let us know if you’re children will be attending.
Can children stay overnight?
Children who are part of the wedding party staying at Gate Street only. Rooms have already been pre-allocated.
Unfortunately, we aren’t able to accommodate any additional children overnight.
Will there be childcare?
Yes.
We’ll have experienced childcare professionals looking after the children during key parts of the day, giving the grown-ups the chance to relax and enjoy the celebrations.
Please note that the childcare service isn’t available for babies.
Can I request a song?
Definitely—and we’d love you to.
You’ll be able to add your ultimate dancefloor anthem when you RSVP.
No promises… but we’ll do our best!
When do I need to RSVP?
Please let us know by 31 August so we can finalise numbers with the venue.
The sooner the better—we’re excited to know who’s joining us!
Can I take photos?
Of course—we’d love you to capture the day.
We’ll let you know if we’d prefer everyone to put their phones away for the blessing itself, but after that, snap away and don’t forget to share them with us.
Will food and drinks be provided?
Absolutely.
We’ll be serving a delicious wedding feast followed by evening food, with plenty to eat, drink and celebrate throughout the day.
If you have any dietary requirements, please let us know when you RSVP.
Are gifts expected?
Your presence at our wedding is genuinely the greatest gift we could ask for.
If you would like to give us something, we’ve included a few ideas on our Gifts page—but please don’t feel any pressure.
